Some cargo liquids require heat retention, and in general, heating coils are installed in the cargo tanks of chemical tankers.
However, when cargo liquids that react with moisture and solidify cannot be kept warm by steam, the thermal oil heater unit circulates the heat transfer oil to heat and keep the cargo liquids warm instead of steam.
